Buckshot Bully is rapidly becoming Chicagoland’s premier Southern and Country Rock ensemble. When originally formed, we had one common theme: We did not want to be known as yet another “Classic Rock” band. Our strengths and likes are all about Southern and Country Rock! From melodic vocal tunes to screamin’ dual guitar leads backed by a thunderous rhythm section, we bring attitude and precision to each performance.
Mel Stahler – Lead Vocals
Growing up in southern Ohio, Mel developed vocal roots deep in the Southern Rock vein. After a fifteen year run singing with the Larry King Orchestra, Mel has decided to go back to singing the music that he loves: Southern Rock. When you hear Mel apply his lyrical style to this project, we know you will agree he made the right decision.
Rob Wawrzyniak– Lead Guitar
Rob has been playing around the Chicagoland club circuit on and off for many years. He has a very eclectic taste in music and has been in quite a few different styles of bands as well. Ranging from country to progressive rock to blues and classic rock. His playing styles have been derived from influences over the years such as Johnny Winter, Jimi Hendrix, to Lynyrd Skynyrd, Eric Clapton and so many more. Rob’s guitar work brings a lot of energy and style to the Buckshot Bully band with his commanding lead solos, flowing slide work and rhythmic chord work.
Bob Erickson – Bass
Bob is the melodic half of our rhythm section. Inspired by the likes of Jack Bruce, Mel Schacher and John Wetton, he brings a wide variety of styles to the stage and crafts them into a southern rock groove that keeps the bottom of our tunes thundering.
Pete Herbig – Drums
